About Us
Areac Midlands Limited specialises in the design and manufacture of quality, easy to use sound, vision and induction loop equipment. We have been based in Halesowen, firstly as Areac and then as Areac Midlands Limited, for over 30 years and have a wide range of experience in supplying and installing equipment in numerous churches, hotels, town halls, nursing homes / day centres etc.....

Our Equipment
All our equipment is designed and built by us ensuring it meets your exact requirements and the requirements of the building. The legends on each item of equipment are related to the building making all the functions clear and the system 'user friendly' and easy to use without having to look at a large instruction manual.
Many of our sound and induction loop systems are controlled using a remote unit located in the auditorium with the amplifier securely fixed in a cupboard. This allows the sound system to be controlled from a position where the operator can see and hear what is happening and also reduces the possibility of theft as the remote can be locked away when not in use.

We can design, build and install
Hospital Control Unit
• Complete sound systems.
• Systems where position of speakers & microphones are shown as a mimic diagram on the amplifier front panel,
• Sound systems that are controlled from a remote unit, thus, improving the security of the system.
• Induction loop (hearing aid loop) systems conforming to BS EN 60118-4:1998 (formerly BS6083 part 4).
• Sound and induction loop systems housed in a trolley unit.
• Portable sound systems housed in a light-weight flight case.
• Vision Systems.

Our Experience
We have installed over 600 of our systems in churches & other buildings .One of our largest installations is at Worcester Cathedral where the system is controlled from one of 5 positions within the cathedral with the amplifier 30ft above the North Aisle. This system won a 'Golden ear' award.
Each system is different as each building has different requirements. To ensure that the equipment meets the needs of the user and building we are happy to visit the site to discuss your requirements and also provide a free demonstration of the equipment .

Trolley Unit for churches / schools

Following the introduction of the Disability Discrimination Act we have installed a large number of induction loop systems for the hard of hearing. Each system is professionally installed to ensure it meets the requirements of BS EN 60118-4:1998 (formerly BS6083 part 4).
We also have a wide range of equipment available for hire. This equipment includes mixers, amplifiers, microphones, radio microphones, cassette decks, induction loop systems. Each system can be delivered, set up and, where required, operated by one of our engineers.
